The wingfoil can be mounted by means of a standard topplate connection to a ‘hard’ plate that is incorporated into the deck of the inflatable board. This gives you a maximum feeling and response with the foil. Because you are also on the hard plate, the stability is almost comparable to a ‘hard board’

The bottom of Starboard Air Foil has a ‘sharp’ plastic edge (edge release). This makes it easier for the board to get into plane, which also makes it easier to get into the air. Even with touch downs, this board continues to slide more easily compared to other inflatable boards.
