Top plate mast rake spacer

Top plate mast rake shim. This rake shim has been specially developed for wing foil masts with a top plate. The mast rake spacer is intended to change and fix the angle of the wingfoil mast. These shims are resistant to the high pressure that comes on the shims. In addition, this spacer distributes the pressure completely over the bottom of the board.

You position these shims under the top plate of the mast and the bottom of the board. Then you tighten the wind foil firmly in the board.

The mast rake shims are available in 3 variants;

• Top plate angle shim of 1⁰
• Top plate angle shim of 2⁰
• Top plate angle shim of 3⁰

Dimensions of the top plate mast rake shim are

• Length x Width : L 210 mm x W 132 mm
• Hole spacing: 90 mm width x minimum 142 mm (front – rear hole)

Longer bolts needed

If you’re going to use a top plate shim, you’ll most likely need longer bolts (at the front). When using a 1 degree shim , you will need bolts with a length of 35 mm, and when using a2 or 3 degree shim, you will need bolts with a length of 40 mm. We supply good quality stainless steel bolts in various lengths.
